I was carving dried pine using my Spydie warrior to start my coal fire as it is getting cold here, collecting the chips with a piece of paper and i forgot my whole set of ceramic rods was just under laid on a stand of wood i use to sharpen, i went hard on the wood to break off a feather stick and i slid off with much force through the paper then through the leather pouch of my profile and contacted the medium rod flat grooved surface.
Obviously i cursed a lot before even seeing that the damage were quite moderate even with such a heavy blow, there's no chipping just heavy blunting and burring, i was able to reduce somewhat the dent visually using a medium rod freehand but i'll need a thorough reprofiling job on this one, i'm just glad i didnt reprofiled it yet because i was thinking about it two days ago and the edge would have been much thinner and prolly suffering much more damage.
The edge was a convexed from a 30/40 and the left side was a bit too convex and didnt hit the sharpmaker stone properly anymore hence why i wanted to reprofile it.
