Well I took apart my SOG Twitch 1 to take photos of the SAT,(Sog Assisted Technology) assisted opening system.

I failed to follow my #1 rule in taking something apart, a clean uncluttered work area.

I had it all apart and was reassembling it when I went to put the spring in for the safety detent ball, it flew out of the tweezers onto a brown carpet. :(

I've found one source for small springs, cheap old wind up watches, I should be able to find one small enough, the diameter of the spring is about .062 ".

Any one have any other suggestions on where to locate springs that small?

try to recover the spring with a strong magnet... barring that, contact Ron at SOG...

A magnet might be the way to go.

Also, Ron is no longer with SOG, but you can contact them at 1-888-SOG-BEST for replacement parts.

I'll have to wait till morning to get out to the barn and get my BIG magnet, the refrigerator magnets aren't that strong.

With a flashlight while on your knees shine it on the carpet horizontallly with the floor and you will probably be able to find it.

One common source for small springs is the spring loaded pegs on a common watch band....you know the things that hold the watch onto the band.

Each one holds a small diameter spring...and they're cheep.
