Whats the hole for in the blade on a few of the fix blades? I'm curious as I just don't get it. I never really looked at them until last Tuesday. We had gone to Peoria (1 1/2 hrs away) just to do some looking at BP. While there my wife comment on the open season caper s30v. I started looking at the knives and thought the looked like pretty nice knives even though they are not my usual cup of tea. But for the life of me I couldn't figure out why the fixed blade skinner had a hole in the blade. I wish I could of found someone to have help me as I would of been interested in handling them. It figures the one time I really want to look at a knife no one to be found.

I can come up with one silly reason, and one that's almost believable.

Silly:
Because it's cool?

Almost Believable:
So when you choke up on the blade (for any reason you might choke up on the blade), you have a little more grip.

I believe it's either a pinch point as mentioned above or it's for a wrist lanyard to allow you more leverage and better retention.

Ok guys thanks.:D So it sounds like what I thought. No good reason.:D
