Ok, I have a sack of 100 black rivets from he knifekits.com. These are all the same shape and size. How do I Roll the rivet down? What tool is needed?

I could use Chicago screws instead. .

I made a rollover sheath. The knife fits well, but there is no "snap" which i get in the kydex sheaths I've purchased. What am I doing wrong?

What I have would work great under leather, but would not stand alone well. Any tutorials that come highly recommended?

hows about a rivet punch? got one of those? i dont have any kydex experience but you didnt mention the tool.

You need the rivet flaring dies. I chuck one end in my drill press and the other in the vise, then press them into place. Just make sure the top and bottom of the die are aligned.
From KnifeKits.com
CKK Rivet Flaring Dies - #6 - (3/16) KYRD-68 CKK Rivet Flaring Dies - #6 - (3/16) $34.95
CKK Rivet Flaring Dies - #8 - (1/4) KYRD-88 CKK Rivet Flaring Dies - #8 - (1/4) $34.95

Make sure you get the right size for your rivets.

To get the snap, use a kydex press to really form fit the knife. If it still lacks tightness, heat up the top a little a press in lightly with gloved fingers to tighten. http://youtube.com/watch?v=3lczZWgN4Kg

Thanks. I tried the press, and that made an immediate difference.

I'll pick up the flaring tool. Foolish me... I hear "rivet" and think 2 parts. I have some chicago screws, so I can use them on this learning batch.

Yup, me to. I went through the same thing trying to press them together going "But they're the same size!" :D
