So I have always wanted to be a hog but graduate school keeps me from being able to take the leap into the sty. Does anyone ever sell a well used Busse? I have been looking for a while but the ones for sell/trade always seem to be new. Dosen't anyone anyone ever wabt to get rid of one thats been beat to hell but ready for more?

There is a HOGFSH for sale right now in the exchange that fits that category.
I would buy it, but I'm hogfsh rich and cash poor right now....

I see users come up for sale on the exchange - but they don't last long!

Good luck!

John

geneepi - "Yes." I've seen sub $200 satin jacks and sub $250 Natural Outlaw E's. All users, well loved but ready for more and still holding a factory lifetime warranty. The secondary market prices you see are based on high demand. One of the best deals going are direct from Jerry et al when purchasing at shows, new orders, or at an Extravaganza.

Another one to consider are the outstanding deals offered by the other "separate businesses" in Wauseon like Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard knives. Both Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard have a new 6" model and are available now: The Swamp has the Mischief (M6) made with a micarta handle and SR101 (proprietary 52100) for about $170. The Scrap Yard has the Scrapper 6 made with a resiprene-c handle and a SR77 (proprietary S7) blade for about $90.

Both of these knives are awesome deals that you won't regret. Many of us came to Busse thru the gateway drugs of SRKW or SYK.

You're in St. Louis. If you go looking used and need an idea of the general feel and size of a particular blade, let me know. I may or may not have the one in question, but if I do there might be a local opportunity to check it out and get a first hand idea of the size/weight.

Welcome to the addiction. ;)

(BTW - The lovely lady in my avatar is in homage to the venerable Amy-0. One of the "faces" of Busse and the purveyor of INFI. One of her many duties is filtering thru the Extravaganza emails to see if you scored. My point? Don't expect to meet the cutie in the picture if I meet to show you a blade - I'm nearly 40, 6'3" and 225lbs. No, not a Janet Reno lookalike! Though my name is Stacey, I am a guy!)

Thanks for the offer and I will probably take you up on it sometime even though you are not the lovely lady in the picture ;)
I've been eyeing the Scrapper 6 and I agree that it is a great deal.
What is an Extravaganza anyway?

Jerry has odd lots of stuff left over from military orders and the like and from time to time he gives us a crack at them free for all style. He teases the hell out of us with pics and stuff for a day or two, tells us an approximate time when he is going to post the "Go!" button and shortly before posting that "Go!" button he gives us the prices and ordering instructions. You prep your email with your choices and when you see the "Go!" button you mail that sucker and hope you score something. It is a first in first served free for all and it gets nuts sometimes.

These "Go" posts are usually posted on both this forum as well as the Busse Combat home site forum.

Good luck and have fun! NO REGRETS!!

There's always the WTB section too. Post that you are looking for some users and who knows, you may get lucky with some good deals:)
