Stupid sharpmaker question

Hopefully Sal G. will chime-in on this one, but from what I understand, the diamond rods for the Sharpmaker are getting pretty close to being a reality (finally!), and should hit the market in the near future. I think they were having a problem finding the correct bonding agent, but I think that was recently solved?
 
I picked up AG Russell's field sharpener, two diamond rods and two ceramic rods in a 204 type config (only 30 degree holes though). Boy, those diamond rods sure take off the matierial! The ceramic rods seem about the same as the dark rods on the 204. It's a nice little unit (the rods are only 5") but not for long knives. I would love to see some 8" fine diamond rods for the Sharpmaker.
