Stupid tek-lock question

Hey everybody,
I just bought some tec-locks to add to old sheaths.
The stupid question is: The rubber-like spacer-ish things that come with it...they seem to be rattle-silencers or washers....do they go on the screw-head side or the recepticle-side of the sheath? Was this question even clear? Am I even in the right forum? Where am I? What day is it?
Thanks...and please don't call me an idiot...I already know. If I was better at stuff like this, I wouldn't have had to go to lawschool.

Try putting them between the sheath and the tec -lock

That was my guess, and it's where I put them. The reason I asked is that I have two professionally made sheaths, one has it between the tec-loc and the sheath, the other has it under the head of the screw!
