i had to sharpen this piece of razor blade (it was too dull) and unlike before, i held the steel (without guard - it's a 204 fine stone) horizontally. one laspe of concentration, and the blade struck my left index finger tip, exiting before a drop got on it.
It sure took a while to stop the bleeding. Let me be an example of be careful sharpening your blades.
