Please help with your ideas of knife.
*sturdy knife but no pry bar either, I would like to cut things.
*3" to 3 1/8" blade
* high quality steel blade (M390, etc)
*no 5 oz + brick in my pocket
* $400. - is my limit

NOTE I have an eye on the Viper Storm.:thumbsup:

Grab a 3 inch xm18 I guess. Or you could probably find a hinderer half track which the storm is based on for under 400$ in the used section.

Honestly though my opinion is that liner/framelocks typically aren’t the sturdiest lock on the market. Though I hate to admit it the Triad lock that cold steel uses is probably the stronges lock out there.

You could also try something like the Benchmade mini loco which is a very sturdy knife. The axis lock is quite a strong lock aswell.

CRK Small Inkosi should do you well. Might need to check out the exchange.

Others:
Spyderco Para 3
Liong Mah Lanny’s Clip
XM 18 3.0” Slicer (emphasis on slicer and get a Gen 6)
