Hi everyone,

Can you list help me find a fixed blade that:

- comes with a lefty-friendly sheath that clips onto your belt. I don't mind if it has a reversible/detachable clip, and I am not concerned whether it is a cross draw, horizontal, etc. I just want it to be lefty-friendly. But it needs a clip. I don't want to lash it to my leg/arm.

- is NOT a dagger. I would like a hunting/camping knife

- Does not cost more than $150

It was a pain trying to find pics that included the knife AND the sheath, so I figured I would just ask you all.

Thanks!

Any knife that comes with a Kydex sheath/Tek-Lok set up will be lefty friendly, as it's reversible.
You might want to take a look at the RAT-3 or 4.

The RAT RC-3 comes with a "boot clip", which I use for IWB carry, clipping over the belt. It's reversible, so you can screw the clip on either for righty or lefty carry.

Helps that its a great knife too.;)

Spyderco
forester 9,1/8 blade
woodlander 6 3/32 blade
forager 7 1/2in
dayhiker 4 3/4in
you can find them all around $100
and clip can be mounted any way you want
here is my forester

The knives mentioned above are all wonderful. But my suggestion would be to find the knife that has all the features you're looking for, and then looking into having one of the many great sheath makers we've got here build a sheath to your specifications.

That way you've got the knife you want without having to sacrifice anything because the sheath isn't user friendly for you, AND you get a sheath that has the features you may need (pouch, lashing points, etc.).

My RC-3MIL has just the reversible clip type kydex sheath, as well as the "jump proof molle sheath system" which can be mounted in any variety of ways.

It's also a great knife by itself.

What he said would be a good idea...

If you are looking for a outta the box fit the RC-3 or 4 would fit the bill so long as you don't mind IWB use. Or if it has molle locks they will work as well.

Rat 4 it is. Spyderco is my favorite brand but the forester is a bit bigger than I needed.

I would have had a custom sheath but I just want something quick and out of the box. If I really get into this knife and the sheath, perhaps I'll hit up one of the sheath makers here when I go for my next purchase.

I have tons of folders, but I realized my collection would not be complete without at least one bad ass fixed blade.

Thank you guys for your help with this. You guys are awesome.

Now I'm going to log onto ups.com 20 times a day to follow the tracking number until it is at my door. Then maybe I'll take a sick day from work and spend the time finding things to cut with my new baby.
