Sub-6" Fixed Blade

I'm in the mood for an easy-to-pocket fixed blade that's less than 6" overall. I have the Boker Pocket Bowie and Kershaw Skinner, and, in the slightly over-6" category, an Izula (with future plans for an Izula II and Blackjack 155).

But any recommendations in the sub-6" category? The TOPS Sparrow Hawke and the Bark River PSK look nice, and whatever I choose is going to get pretty light use. They're intended just as alternatives to my folders that also get very light use.

Other sub-6" fixed blades that might stand out from the crowd?

Don't scoff at the price on the Buck Paklite series. I still prefer the original Skinner model the best but they're all incredible blades by any standard. The price just puts the cherry on top. See Marion Poff about the sheath.

Scrapyard Scrapivore for a limited time only. Excellent Steel, excellent warranty, high-quality Mashed Cat kydex sheath, and you can sell it for more than you paid for it once it's out of production. $70 shipped.

I have one around my neck right now.

With this pocket sheath my daughter just got me for Christmas, my BK11 went from a good EDC fixed blade to a great one.

Beckerhead #42

Spyderco Bill Moran - are remarkable fixed blade knives in my personal opinion.

Bark River Essential EDC. It's slightly over 6" OAL, but it looks like a great pocket fixed blade.

Gingivitis, beautiful sheath/present. Perfect solution for EDCing that bad boy. That Backup is a killer design.

Several excellent suggestions. Thanks! You guys are making 2012 more expensive than I thought it would be.

You can't beat a cord wrapped Izula in kydex for weight, comfort and low signature. Notice the jimping on the kydex that extends all the way to the top for easily thumbing the sheath off while in the pocket.

The BK-11 is a nice choice too. If you want to small and rad there's alway a Lagriffe (shown with a trainer) ;)

The Michael Morris EDC 60 is on my short list for 2012, as is the Scrapivore (why going out of production?). But I ran across the Blind Horse small Tiger Knapp -- just under 6" and very affordable. So I pulled the trigger on that.

But additional suggestions still welcome.
