I have a blue Spyderco Tenacious that I currently carry, and I love that knife. However I want a 50-70ish dollar knife that will serve me well and last a lifetime. I don't abuse my knives to heavy extents, and I want a little 3 inch or so blade. I am thinking mini grip, delica 4,or dragonfly. Merry Christmas.:) Roll Tide.

Can't go wrong with a Delica 4. I find myself carrying that more than just about anything else at any price range. Great design, great steel, pretty much the perfect edc imo

I'd go +1 on the Delica. I do not own one but I do own the similar Endura, which is excellent.

Carried my brown, FFG, Delica 4 today. Despite getting more into larger blades, the D4 is excellent value. I prefer it to my mini-grip (556).

The Mini Grip is nice but it won't be easy to get a good one under $70.

The Delica is getting more and more pocket time over my Natives and Skylines.

I just got a Dragonfly but I don't see it pushing out the others.
.

Also, I had a mini-Grip and donated it to a forum friend here. That said, I like the full size Griptilian. If you really wanted a Grip, I would recommend getting the full size one over the mini. I was happier that way, but I get that you may be different.

Dragonfly2, G10 version. FANTASTIC little blade.

Delicas are good. I just prefer the spyderco's with the jimped forward finger choil on the underside. I do a lot of fine detailed work though, so I use it a lot, and the "choke up" is ultra-comfortable. Therefore I am going to recommend the Dragonfly as a little knife 2.25" Make sure to buy from a respected seller as there are a ton of fake dragonfly's out there. They also make it in the yellow "salt" version which has the impressive H1 100% stainless steel.

Some other ideas:
-Spyderco Cat (G10, 440C, 2.44", only $50!)
-Cold Steel mini lawman (The strongest "little" knife I own. Triad Lock is great)
-Ontario Rat 2 (you can get a Rat 1 and Rat 2 for about $60 total and they are awesome)
-SOG Flash 1 (ultra light assisted opening. East to close as well, but there is resistance against the blade).

:Last Note:
If one hand deployment is important to you, I find that I do best with a "tip up" carry in the pocket. For me, my thumb is right there when I grab it. As a result, I will mostly only buy a folder that has a tip up option.

I've wanted to try one of those for awhile, myself.

It's really a nice blade, great steel, solid lock. It's so much lighter than it looks because of the aluminum handles. Get it, for that price you're getting a great USA made Buck Knife!

I have held one of those, but I didn't really dig the locking mechanism.

This is what most people don't like about it. It's really different, but easy to use once you get to use it a bit. It's not a real one handed closer, but I'm fine with using the two hands I have. :)

What about a Lightweight Native 4? I don't know how big your mitts are, but I find the Native preferable to the Delica for those with large hands.
