Sooooo..... its friday well thursday for me still its a night shift thing;) since I started viewing this forum I've seen a lot of different topics on backers, handles and refinishing, all of which are super interesting and keep me awake way longer than I should be. but what I was wondering is does anyone else have any of these weird habits? when I get home from work early morning 6 am ish the first thing I do is pull my bk two from underneath the seat of my vehicle dressed in her beautiful brandy new sky storm sheath, make my way to the house, kiss the wife and kids on their way out, make a cup of coffee, grab my tablet and my cigarettes, tuck my bk two securely under my arm then head outside to read blade forums posts all the while messing with my bk two. whether it be chopping sharpening cleaning wittling or just rolling it in my hand trying different holds until it's time for bed then she securely placed on my nightstand then we start all over again the next day, or the same day for you day shift guys:D obsessive what do you think or are you just as bad?

All.The.Time.

"Uh honey, can you not walk around with a BK6 when I have company over, It's kind of uhmm distracting for them you know."

I don't see anything wrong here. You are doing it right sir. Carry on.

That's funny right there.

I fondle my Beckers all the time.

The other day me and my wife had company over and The BK-5 was laying on the counter near the table, so when we were eating, I preceded to cut my baked potato with my 5. Got a few weird looks, but, whatever.

When I am watchin TV I usually have a Smiths Diamond Hone in one hand and a Becker of some sort in the other....or wet/dry sandpaper working on polishing the blade...or shoe polish polishing my BK9 sheath....

Spray your sandpaper with WD-40, helps lubricate the blade and makes your paper last longer.

as I read this, I had to stop polishing the grind on my 2 as I cliched the flats last night. Just finished a temporary para wrap and on to 320 grit on the grind. Kinda like the look of the para wrap! might make a leather sheath in case the 2 turns out to have a split personality. but yeah, fondling beckers is quite normal here, I usually have a knife in my hands when watching movies at home.

Thats what I want to do while I'm laying on the couch....smell WD-40.

I have been known to spray WD40 as air freshner. Love that stuff. Grew up smelling WD40 and diesel fuel and the smell of either is nostalgic for me.

Relaxing at home, I have either my BK2 or BK7 in hand; sharpening, polishing, or messing with the sheaths.
By this time, the wife and kids are used to it. The cat isnt so understanding though.
At work, I have the BK14 on me and fiddle with it when I dont have users in my cube.
One bad habit I've gotten into; I started playing with the 14 while driving my hour long commute.
Eventualy I will either get pulled over for someone thinking I was brandishing a knife (stupid sheeple), or I will get into an accident and end up with the blade in my leg or worse!
Small price to pay for such a cool obsession...

I never watch TV without either my BK-14 or lately my new Para2. If I am not drinking I am usually stropping them while watching TV, if I have been drinking I do not mess with my edges haha or even take them out of their sheaths very much. (Obviously they stay in the cabinet if I am doing some serious, eat-a-whole-box-of-mac-and-cheese-at-2am drinking).
