Hi Guy's,
This is the 2nd Stag Sub Hilt I made. I incorporated some of the suggestions I received after making the first one.
I put a picture of the first one I made at the end of this post.
The Blade is 10&3/4" tip to the guard.
Overall length is 16&1/2"
230" thick at the ricasso
The Steel is 159 Layers of 1084 &15n20.
The Guard Sub Hilt and Butt are 416 Stainless Steel.
The Handle is India Stag.
Comments Are Welcomed and Considered for improvements.

Both are exceptional to my notion.....;)

Great job and beautiful work on the hardware and knife overall.

Love them both. I think I prefer the shape of the first blade and thinner guard slightly over the second version. I like the more down swept handle flow and thicker butt plate of the second. Just pickin' nits based on my own personal tastes. They are both fantastic. I wish my skills were that far along.

Great job on both knives! Very similar to the first one with a few tweeks in the guard as far as I can see and the damascus pattern. Only goes to show you got it right the first time I reckon.
Cheers Keith

I like them both, but I think I still prefer the first. I like the thinner guard and butt cap. Just a matter of individual taste.
They are both beautiful. I said this once before, but it bears repeating. David's knives look even better in person, and have a wonderful "feel". Well balanced, light and fast. I would like to see one in stag, no sub hilt, with a sharpened clip.

Really finished up nicely, Dave. Both knives are beautiful but I like how the sub hilt is more perpendicular to the handle on the second knife.

Hello David!

Both are great looking baldes for sure! My personal favourite would be the handle-layout of the first one with the blade of the second... ;)

Best regards,
Alex

REally digging them both, but personal preference is the blade of the first one (bottom pic). Just awesome flow and a singular purpose profile to my eyes.
