Recommendation? Sub Hilts - some advice please.

Unless I am buying a custom, sesms the options are limited?

I was happy to see Cold Steel's Black Bear Classic return. Less so to see a Taiwan stamp.

Entrek's Silhouette model looks interesting but 440C blade and aluminium fitings...

In summary, I guess, I'd like something with
- Steel fittings
- modernish blade steel
-made in a western country, or Japan.

Too much to ask?

What are my options?

Not many at all it seems.

Bark River makes two that I know of. Each around $300.
1. Bark River Smoke Jumper Sub hilt
2. Bark River Sandstorm Sub hilt

The images on the web are from other online knife retailers who don't support BF so I didn't post them myself. Just google 'em.
