Hi all,

I have a Subcom from one of the first series, aka smaller clip, and "other" steel.

Question; is there any "collecters' value" attached to this knife, or am I getting my hopes up ?

Thanks for reading !

Ooohhhh.... That mysterious 420J2 that seems to hold an edge forever.... Yeah, it'll have value.... It already does, and will only increase with time :D

Yeah well, there ARE people who collect knives, you know...

Mahalo much Flint&Steel,

Wow, a 1st Gen SF, eh? Man, there were a BUNCH of people looking for this version due to what potterma had said in his post!:D That knife had the BEST 420J2 I have ever experienced...it was just downright strange!!!:D

Anyway, I hope there will be some value to the 1st Gen SF...what an honor that would be...

God bless and thanks!

No doubt that the original Subcom F will go up in value...and it does keep an amazing sharp edge for a long time:o I put the embarrased face there cause I was the one who called for an upgrade in steel to AUS 8 in my reviews because I felt the knife was so good it deserved it...in retrospect the 420J2 on this knife is simply amazing and the upgrade was not needed...but when all is said and done I was glad it was upgraded, at the very least It got people to take a real hard look at the Subcom and give it a try...I never heard from anyone that they were dissapointed with either steel....or the knife for that matter......Doc:D
