Subcom F Black PE Is there such a thing?

Couple days ago I won a Subcom F Black with a plain edge on an online auction. Later, after digging the forum/reviews furher I noticed that all black models seem to come with a serrated edge. It isn't on Chad's own website either. Tomorrow I suppose to meet the seller in person, so I'll have the opportunity to either pay for it or not (in case it's a fake).

Any info and Your opinion is greatly appreciated-

All SubComs with a black blade are partially serrated.
We have not made any with a plain edge.
Could you please email a link to the auction to me at repair @ bokerusa.com

Terry is correct...the BO586 is only in CE edge. However, there have been a few ALL Black PE versions appearing copied logos and all...in other words Tamas...

THAT one is a blatant FAKE!!!:mad:

Good thing I am not meeting the seller in person...ho brah...we have a saying here: "Cracks!!!".

Aloha Chad. Let me tell You that I really admire Your designs and thank You for taking the time to reply. Good thing I found out about this before I made the actual purchase. BUT I handled a few quality knives before an have an eye of an eagle;) So probably i would have spotted it.
Bad thing is there are people making profit of selling something of a lesser quality with Your name and Boker's on it. I understand your feelings. By the way, I don't think there's a large quantity of fakes floating around (at least in here), because thats's the only one I'v seen so far. Should I meet the guy to give him Chad's greetings? :foot:

Sorry, but I forgot to welcome you here.:o

Anyway, the All Black PE copies were done pretty well...especially their copies of the Boker Plus and my logo. Only way I noticed it was fake was by the thumb stud and the way the framelock was cut out.

They say "imitation is the best form of flattery"...true if some dude was copying my "style". But to go as far as to copy the Boker Plus logo, as well as mine...that is just no class.

Tamas, not sure what the laws are in Hungary, so no...do not greet him as I would.;)

BTW, I think it safe to speak for Boker in this case, but WE thank YOU for bringing this to our attention. Keep us posted and take care.

I just got off the phone with the seller, he called me saying that he is very sorry, but the knife has been sold to someone else. He also said that he has another brand name AO knife to offer at a very competitive price as a compensation, but I passed. Has he been contacted, Terry, or it's just faith? Now I'm looking forward to source a real Subcom, this time around...

We haven't done anything yet, I will be relaying the info to Germany,
and they will take it.
