for those with the boker subcom FB or folders, I just recieved mine and it was poorly packaged: no paperwork, no plastic bag, box was split open, no bead chain, no sheath clip. Is this normal packaging for the subcom line?

Also the grinds are obtuse and thick, and the edge has been rolled or dented 1cm towards the base of the blade. There are raised metal edges all around the lanyard hole. Other than that, I like it--basically the design is very sound and provides a secure feeling in the hand, more so than the tops wolf pup which seemed to want to slip out in every direction. I also like the sheath even though nobody else does and it is not kydex as stated on all the websites, but injection molded plastic. Anyway it seems they really skimped on FF and package presentation. More reviews to follow after some use.

No, my Subcom FB didn't include a belt clip, nor is/was it supposed to. Mine didn't come with a ball chain either.

Mine was OK, FF wise also. The edge angle was the worst. Considering how thick the blade is, I had remove a ton of steel to get it to cut well. I believe that these suckers are made by Ontario.
 
I don't have a fixed Subcom so I don't know what they're supposed to come with, but perhaps you should contact the place you bought it from to inquire about the condition in which you received it.

I agree with juji...check out that place ya got the SFB from. They ARE supposed to come with a ball chain, and I agree with you on the FF from the last batch I got...in fact, my logo was backwards!:p

I like Ontario Knives, but ahhhh...either the SFB's I got were done on Friday or first thing Monday morning.:rolleyes:

Still, I am glad you like the design, I'm just sorry it arrived the way it did.

Wha? I thought that's where the beaded chain was "supposed to be"?:p Kidding.

Well, good ya found the chain, and hopefully your logo is placed correctly! No...waitaminute...the "Backwards CLB Logo" SFB's *may* end up collector's items!!!;)
