hope this is the right place;

on July 26 I paid my $75 for a knifemaker's membership via Paypal. On August 16 I paid my $150, (3 years knifemaker's membership) in order to get myself a subforum

is it possible to get a refund for the extra $75?

I too was curious if one could just outright buy the subforum membership?
Good question.

I haven't heard anything about this yet, so I assume it's a lost cause?

Just a guess here.

I see other upgrades like 1 year Knifemaker, 1 year Dealer, lifetime Gold ect. but don't see a 3 year Knifemaker for $150.

Perhaps that upgrade option was just a simple way to add the 2 years with one additional transaction instead of purchasing the 2 years individually.

Seems very confusing.
I like the information upfront, and Not to feel duped.

Not sure what’s confusing.

Requirements for your own sub forum are a 3 year Knifemaker/Craftsman/Service Provider membership, price for that is $225.

Then what was Lorien talking about in the OP? Where did he get the $150 number
Thanks

It might be confusing in how it's presented.

Historically, you'd buy 3 individual year long knifemaker memberships to get a subforum.

Based on the OP, it seems like there is now an option for Knifemaker to upgrade to a "3 year membership" for $150 after purchasing the initial year so they can get a subforum.

So it might read like you're purchasing 3 additional years for $150, when it's actually just adding 2 more years to the existing membership to make 3.

The price for a subforum has always been 3 years of a knifemaker membership. If you buy a 1 year for 75, and 2 more years for 150, that's 225, same as a 3 year. I'm not sure where any refunds would be coming from if you only paid $150?

Here is the direct link to the paid 3 year Knife Maker subscription link/pay feature, just in case anyone in the future should ask for it also.

Simply toggle through the subscription levels to get to the 3 Year Knife Maker subscription level $225.00 USD.
