Did brous license the KAI subframe lock? Or can they get away with it because they are produced in China?

They were sent a cease and desist as well. Even though the knives are made in China, they are still a US based company and subject to US based litigation.

No the cease and desist was sent by KAI USA to Brous.

Well, his designs always do attract harsh criticism from all-knowing keyboard commandos.

Intrigued by this style of art and its similarity to many fantasy knives, Jason figured that knifemaking would be a natural extension of his metalworking skills and an appropriate medium for his artistic ideas. Although he had no specific training in knifemaking, in 2010 he designed and made his first knife - a fantasy design with a Biomech flavor - and eagerly posted photos of it on several Internet knife forums. Unfortunately for him, his design drew harsh criticism from some all-knowing keyboard commandos. However, fortunately for us, he turned that criticism into fierce determination which ultimately led to his success.

which model was that? Cause for one of them he did copy a custom makers knife. Then he was called on it and went to make a deal with the maker. On his Instagram recently he found a clone of it at the tractor supply store and said it was a clone leaving out the fact he cloned it from someone else originally and all his followers were talking shit about the clone and not him LMAO. I made a comment that said something along the lines of that looks like a "#" which was the name of the original custom design and he deleted my comment. Lmao

Who knows Mo2 Mo2 . Jason/Kut Throat Knives specialized in stuff that looked like the legs from a 1980's glass topped dining table. And there was also his claims of a Paul Bos heat treat (Bos was retired at the time and never treated that steel).

So, some all knowing keyboard commandos called him on it.

Here are some of the early models...

But you know he really moved on to some more "classical" designs later on...

I think it was the Silent Soldier XL that utilized a subframe lock, at least on some of them.
