I made my version of a subhilt fighter for a client who wanted a combination of materials used in the handle, Mammoth ivory. Ironwood burl and turquoise were used to accomplish that. The blade is 3/16" 154CM with a tapered tang. It has eight 416 SS 3/32" pins and both guards are made of 416 SS and the 1/4" thong tube is made of 303 SS. OAL is about 11 1/2" with a 6 1/4" blade.

Thanks for looking

Recaje,

Thanks for the kind words. The client really liked the finished knife and has oredered two more fighting knives, not subhilts this time. One with a double guard like the subhilt and the other with a dovetailed bolster double guard.

The turquoise compliments the wood I am viewing on a sub standard device for zooming in any chance of closer shots ? If you have any I presume that customer took it as soon as he could I would ...."my precious"

Sharpend,
Thanks for asking about the subhilt. AS you thought its already in the clients hands. If I have anyother photos that show it in better detail I will post them.
