This one is from my customers design with very minor alterations on my part.

The blade is 4 bar turkish damascus, 8.5" long, deep etched then blued. The guard, pommel and finial are mild steel, with deep releif, sculpted and French greyed engraving, 22k gold inlays and blued. Handle is maidou burl finished with permalyn. It is a take down piece. Balance is right at the blade/guard junction.

I had a lot of fun with this one and it spawned a bunch of ideas for other similar pieces.

Let me know what you think!!

That's a knockout Bailey! As Keith said, stunning.

Yes, and the engraving looks alive, as if it had just stopped moving, and might begin again. Way to go, Bailey.

Very nice.
Looks like your customer has some design talent.
Sub-hilts are getting very popular.

Would love to see that with a white ivory handle instead of the wood, yet that is a great knife as is.

That is a SERIOUSLY beautiful piece. Your customer is going to be tickled.

The sub-hilt looks perfect. Many I see are just too thick. This one begs to be handled.
