I guess this belongs in the BS forum but I was just wondering if anybody is buddies with a submarine designer.
My basement shop is pretty small and those guys know how to utilize every little bit of space to the maximum efficiency.:D

I was in that business many years ago. Yes very efficient and if you are making your living making knives you can't afford not to be efficient .Every tool must have a place and the tool is immediately returned to it's place when finished. Some of the power tools may be put on wheels so they can be moved out of the way if you have a small area. Some forum members should have photos of efficient shops.

You designed subs Mete?
What haven't you done!?

Thanks for the advice, this afternoon my wife actually suggested putting my band saw on wheels for the very reason you just mentioned. I laughed at her!
I hope to Heaven she never reads this post!:o :foot:

dont forget you could install cabinets and shelves on the walls you could find some old cabinets pretty cheap if you check with your local remodeling and construction companys

Mrs Miden, you'll be proud of me when you learn that I put wheels on my washing machine, it's great for a crowded basement !!

LOL.
Doesn't it run around a bit when you have an uneven load?

Thanks for the replies guys.:D
