Subscription payment

On the subscription page it says:

"Validity periods marked with a * indicate that this subscription is recurring.
After the initial subscription period is complete, the subscription will automatically be renewed with a new charge."​

However none seem to have that *.

Are subscriptions auto recurring?
Which would mean someone is keeping the CC info. If so, is it kept by Authorize.net or BF?
My preference, for obvious reasons, would be that my CC info not be kept, but I understand sending reminders can be a hassle.

I don't believe any of our subscriptions are recurring. The comment is built into the software for websites that want to activate it. So no CC numbers are retained

Subscriptions do not recur. I don't like surprising people with money being taken out of their account
