Substitutes for TacTies?

So I have some new gear heading my way, a Maxpedition Sabercat, and I plan on adding some pouches and other pieces of kit using the Molle attachments for a more robust day-hike setup.

Are there some good (read: cheaper) substitutes for TacTies to attach gear? Zip-ties seem like an option, but I'm looking for something re-usable. I guess I could just secure it with paracord as well.

Any other ideas?

i actually prefer using paracord as i can get the pouches in tighter than the tacties...

LOL, yeah I guess that would work, but I tend to rearrange and reorganize my gear quite often - one of the main reasons I picked up the Sabercat was the many MOLLE mods that could be made, so a permanent fix like hot glue isn't ideal

I did some more searching and found releasable zip ties, so I think I'll give those a try. Hell, normal zip ties are so cheap I might as well buy a whole bunch of those - countless uses.

I saw Malice clips are available, but they also suffer from higher price tag of Tacties.

Still open to any other ideas :thumbup:
