I've heard about it before but never really believed in it: Busse breeding! Anyways, I haven't had anything else to do and fancied a new knife. so I gave it a shot. As a breeding bull I chose Long Don Heavyheart. The chosen brood mare was Wicked Mrs. Tankbuster. Usually bulls and mares don't match, but with knives it's all different. As you can see they got along pretty well.

Here they are cuddling in a controlled environment:

Here is the cute result of this stormy love affair:

And now they are one happy family. The son outgrew his father rather quickly

If you want this to be done it's no problem at all. Send me two of your knives and pay the marginal fee of 150 USD (PayPal accepted, no personal tab). I'll let you know when they multiplied
Disclaimer: your knives might look used when they come back to you. I have nothing to do with it. It's just 'cause INFI plays rough in the love act!

P.s.: and could some mod please correct the spelling mistake in the thread title? My pinkie was trembling from excitement and made one "L" too much in the end of "successful"! Thank you!

It's a good thing the females don't eat the males after breeding! :D

Do it again. Several times. See if the parents have any recessive genes.

OMG  I never thought of this possibility. Good thing I chose the male to be the bigger one.

Nice breading program you've got there.....gonna try for anything bigger?

Patrick

Sure! Next I'll cross an SFNO LE with an ASH-1 LE. Knowing the qualities of both knives I expect something huge

I am sure Long Don Heavyheart likes the idea ;)

Looks like Long Don was surpassed by his son. The offspring seems to win in the size competition:) You may need to watch for fatherly rivalry from here on out!

So I've always wondered... do Busse's lay eggs, or is it a live birth?

Seeing as how the male is so beat up, i'm guessing the TB was pretty rough behind the curtains.

Live birth! They all start out as skeleton wardens and then stretch and bulge into their supposed shape within the first hours of life.

Absolutely. You should have heard the rattle and scratching when they were in full swing. Scary!

Knife parthenogenesis is much less troublesome.

Wouldn't it be unethical to deprive the knives of all the fun? :D

I would have went with the "single TB mom raises FSH son to a mature age until the happy day when big bad daddy FBM comes back into the picture" story... but yours works too!
