Dear Members,

We have just returned from the most successful SHOT Show in the history of Emerson Knives. I understand that it was a good show for almost all the vendors who attended and that is good for it shows that America still has a strong and dynamic market in the entire shooting, hunting and tactical industry. That is good for us all.

How successful was the SHOT Show for Emerson Knives? Well I am very pleased and proud to announce, based on the actual orders that we took from several hundred new accounts, it will effectively double the size and business of Emerson Knives. That is not a growth of 10%, 20% or even 50%. That means that we will grow by 100% this year, 2012. And this is not a forecast.

There are hard orders already being laid into the books as this is being written.

Some will say that I am bragging. You're damn right I am!

I can safely guarantee that there is none, not one other knife company in the business that is experiencing that kind of growth. Being in the industry I can tell you that 3% to 5% growth per year is considered a success and companies will fight tooth and nail to get those percentages of growth.

Why is this happening to us? I honestly do not know, except that I can tell you that our popularity is surging. Will we have as much growth in the future? I seriously doubt it. However our track record has been one of growth every year since this company started in 1997.

There are many new projects we have in line for this coming year including books, more videos, more apparel, more tactical gear, more classes and of course, more knives. We have struck deals with several major gun manufacturers who want to partner with our brand both in knives, guns, and in name and we will be licensing several knife designs to other cutlery manufacturers who also see the benefit of an association with us.

As you can see it really was a great show and has set the stage for a very busy and productive year.

Our military orders have increased by the largest scale in the company's history and those orders are also a factor in our growth.

By the way, I am enclosing a photo of a special "gift" given to me at the show by the guys that I cannot "prove" I make knives for. No pictures were allowed to be taken but those who were at my booth when it happened knew exactly what was going on. Along with the letters bearing the three separate unit insignias, I was told that such a recognition and thank you has never been presented by them to any knife company and individual, anytime, ever before.

In closing, I will say this. It is because of our customers, many of whom are forum members here, that we are enjoying our success and I want to thank you for all of your continued support and enthusiasm for our products and our knives.

Thank you again,

Ernest R. Emerson

Great work. Your designs keep getting better over the years. However, my spec war BM 975S is still going strong. My son would like to thank you for it. I also think the CQC11 broke the mold. As a retired LEO, thanks again for being my back up for all those years.

Great news. It is always nice to hear about successful companies that produce USA made products.

I got my first Emerson, a CQC 7v, in 2010, got a micro Commander in December, and am trying to find a mini CQC 15. After having the 2 Emersons for a while, I am not surprised the company is doing so well. They are great knives.
