Sudden Tide of Beretta Damascus Blades Available

I noticed on a very popular auction site that there suddenly are many Beretta Damascus knives available for purchase. I check fairly frequently for Beretta Seki knives on this auction site and have never seen all these new knives available. They claim to be made in the USA and I do see some Esse's with Beretta stamped on the blade as well.
Does anyone have a clue where, or better yet, who makes these knives for Beretta?
Thanks!

I also know about this auction site. And researching knives of questionable provenance is part of the terms of my community... um, something I do for fun.

Give me a little time to see what I can come up with.

Edit: well that didn't take long. The pattern-welded knives seem to be legit. There is a whole section on Beretta's website about how well trained their people are in the way of making sure that their knives are all fair-trade organic, responsibly sourced and ethically harvested, blah, blah, blah.

What actually convinced me is that Kniferights held a donation raffle last year which featured the same model of knives that you are now seeing on that auction site. Mr. Ritter wouldn't associate his name with something shady.

As for the Beretta Izulas, they're the real thing, too. I found a thread on another forum, confirming that ESEE did a run of Beretta-branded Izzies. It wouldn't be right for me to name the forum here, but the fellas from ESEE hang out there on a regular basis. If you want to engage the Googler, you should be able to find it pretty easily.

Eloquently spoken, Shortime. I will have some surfing fun today to see if I can find some of that information you mentioned. Thanks for your research and if you find any other factual information you would like to share, please do so.

Shorttime, I finally got a response from Beretta regarding my question of who makes their knives. Not totally unexpected, they told me it's a secret and they would not divulge who makes them.
