I think I may be suffering from Becker Mental Illness. In three days, I have ordered two 11's, two 9's, and a 5. Is this normal? These will be my first Beckers, but I wanted a couple to use and a couple to put up. Is it normal to purchase multiples of the same model??? If you have multiples of any and/or all models..., do you give them different names??? And use each for a different purpose??? Who said that........., ???

Your SOL now, beware that your bank account may be drained and you might be kicked out of your house....

:D

Seriously the 9 is a beast though and youll love it.

Yep.
You appear to have a particularly virulant strain of the Becker Flu and it is highly contagious.
Almost everybody who stops by this forum winds up with a case to some extent or other.
We may just have to quarantine you since the only known cure is running out of money.
May you never fully recover!

yeah man..good luck to you.. i currently have 2x BK2s (BK2SG and KA-BAR), 2x BK6 (1xblank 1xblem), 2x BK7 (BK7SG and KA-BAR), 2x BK11 (Camillus and KA-BAR), and 2x BK14. some stripped, some with micarta or wood scales, some with leather sheaths...

I truly believe that with a 9, a 16, & a 14 there is nothing that cannot be done.

With one possible exception. Calming an angry wife when she sees that your knife purchases have left her wearing last seasons shoes. There is no shelter, no bunker, no fortress that will protect you. So, as feeble as this sounds your only defense is:
1. Ask if she's lost weight. This works especially well if asked as soon as she steps out of the shower.
2. Buy her favorite anything. This could be flowers, chocolate or perfume. Whatever you think she will least expect and most enjoy.
3. THIS IS CRITICAL!!! Make sure you set up a second bank account in your brother's name at a bank that you have never used before and go paperless. That way you'll never have to go through this again! :D

Oh, I also have 2x 16s. Although I have a clipped FFG 16, I don't know if I should count that as a 16 or 17.

This is great! I also point out that she has over 70 pairs of shoes (literally) And if she doesnt want me to keep ordering knives she has to quit buying shoes. I win every time :)
and since she has pairs of the same shoe, i can have a couple duplicate knives as well!

I know! It's like, you buy one, then think "Say...I should get the larger/smaller version of this knife", or "Say...I think maybe I need a bottle opener on the end of a necker, as opposed to this groovy, round hole". I'm trying to decide between a 5 and a 15 as I type this. Was set on the 15 until Protourist's post. Jeez...really like that profile.

Um... so, like, where's the problem? I mean, I read about your awesome purchases, but...

buy at good prices. used. nib box but old stock. ebay. fleas. markets. olde shoppes. some amazing bargains to be had.

my first Cammy BK2 cost me $25. found a shop going out of biz, and they had one. snag.

spare Reinhardt was $50. guy didn't know what he was selling, and well, pounce :)

make it a came of bargain hunting, and it's more satisfying ;)
