So this is something I've been wanting to do for a long time. One of my early sources of inspiration was Tai Goo and I love the spirit of his Asian inspired bush knives. I hope this one captures some of that spirit. It's forged from a single piece of 5160 and has a hollow socket. The socket was filed smooth and then given a fine texture and patina. It is 20" plus overall and 12" blade. The scabbard is made from old growth white pine that was salvaged by divers from Lake Superior. This is wood that really doesn't exist in the market anymore. The suspension is a simple hemp cord that goes around a carved copper toggle. It can be worn around the waist or over the shoulder. There is a thin goatskin liner on the inside and has a nice, satisfying snappy fit.

Lovely finish and nice work on the scabbard and accents, too. I like that you do work that is different from the norm.

Well done and very creative as usual. I love the visual balance between power and speed.
