I've got a bit of a dilemma, I was hopin' y'all might have some suggestions.

I want a custom knife knife modeled almost straight after the Spyderco Perrin. Except I'd like a full tang, hardwood handles, mosaic pins, differential tempering, and a good steel. (Perhaps A-2?)

Any suggestions on who to contact about such an endeavor?

(Fred Perrin himself would be an obvious suggestion, but I'm looking for a bit different style than his, in the same overall knife design)

Generally, whatever maker you choose (post this in the makers forum, and see who bites) Would.should contact Fred to see if he's OK with a copy of his design. Lots of makers will allow it, but not everybody.

I've seen Chiro 75 do a couple....

although, you're probably right, better to treat such things on a case by case basis, to be on the safe side...
