Here are the folders I own. I want something that is higher quality than Rough Rider and traditional style. I just need if for those everday small tasks. I need it small enough to comfortable fit in my jeans/slacks pocket. Thank you for the help and suggestions.
SAK Hunter
SAK Work Champ
Buck 110
Rough Rider Congress 3" closed
Rough Rider Mini Trapper 3 1/2" closed
Case Stockman
Case Canoe
Spyderco Delica

Great Eastern Cutlery is something you don't have yet. I'd try one. They have a lot of choices though. #15, #85, #68 are pretty popular patterns. The #06 is new if you want something small.

Of course, you could look at a Case Peanut too..... or a Sod Buster Jr. though a little bulky.

Canal Street, IMO, is one of the finest pocket knife manufactures. Quality is easily on par, if not better, especially in the lockback department.

For me the top candidates are the Peanut, Baby Butterbean and Sway Back Jack.

Baby Butterbean, top, with Peanut.

Sway Back Jack.

Queen/Schatt and Morgan, Case Tony Bose CV, Great Eastern/Northfield UNXLD/Tidioute, Canal Street. All are great using knives. I really like Queen products, yes, the edges can be hit or miss but they are working on that. GEC has really moved away from the bear trap springs and their patterns don't seem to me, anyway, to be on steroids anymore. The regular CV/SS and TB SS lines from Case are not bad, but not in the same category as the aforementioned brands. The Case Tony Bose patterns I've had or seen, with CV blades, strange as it may seem, have better fit and finish. I've only owned the canittler forum knife, and another Canal Street, a trapper I believe. I wish I would've kept them, as they were well made knives. There are many many other brands out there that can be found at flea markets, junk shops etc. Colonial has some American made knives currently, I believe, or read in Blade. More Vic SAKs never hurt anyone. I've had a great time acquiring and learning more about olderbrands. Buck always produces a great knife, and their 301 comes in several varieties.

The 15 pattern from Great Eastern is my new favorite. Barlow, jack.

GEC 66

Because everyone has to have one good jack knife. The 66 has proven itself to be a mighty fine companion and at only 3 1/2" long its very pocket friendly. Have used mine to cut sheetrock and perform other jobsite tasks, it never felt like I was pushing the knife past what it could take. Very stout for its size and easy to carry

The Buck 300 series would be a good place to look. The 301 and slightly more pocket friendly 303 sport a good selection of blades for general use. They're pretty robust, when compared to their competition, but aren't too burdensome to carry by any means.

GEC would be my pic too. So pleased with all of mine.

I also like my S&M File and Wire!

I love this knife!! I can't find one of these anywhere. I did find a nice #76 yellow rose outlaw jack that I think I might have to pick up though.

You can find a GEC #33 Conductor #6 Pemberton or one of the #66 style of knives all in that price range if you look around. Also the Case Peanut and still have money left over for something else.
