Love this little knife but its time to retire her. Looking for somthing sized about the same, no larger than 3.5 blade. G-10 preferably, no aluminum. Must have a deep choil, good grip, good steel, easily carryable. Black-T a plus. 80-120$ range. Will consider all reco's. Thanks.

Why retire it? I can understand the need that builds slowly, the yearning that develops over time, the lustful hunger for a new knife but to retire one you have loved and cherished for some new hussy? Shameful....

Of course adding a new Cold Steel American Lawman to the rotation might not be a bad thing... http://www.coldsteel.com/58al.html

Specifications:
Blade: 3 1/2"
Overall: 8 1/8"
Thick: 3.5mm
Scales: G-10
Weight: 5.4 oz.
Steel: Japanese AUS 8A Stainless

check out a microtech mini SOCOM elite if ya can find one, very similar in size to the mini AFCK, better steel and lock though.

Why retire her?

I guess, we see a comeback of small sized folders next time.

CRKT has a nice line of "Drifters", just handled them at a show shortly but seemed very well made.

I desided on a hk Ally, even though it has a steel handle (G10 wasn´t worth 100 Euros more), but would, if G10 is the way to go, consider an Spyderco Cally3, which is MSRP expensive and often seen on second market or a hk (oh god, the fuc..ng number) 1420, the smaller Snody folder. A bit less expensive but a very nice one.

That Cold Steel looks impressive and i here they take a beating, i'll have to check it out.

Send it to BM for a tune up. They are great. The knife will look and feel close to new when you get it back.

As far as another knife, try the BM 705 or 707. You may have to hunt around for one, but they are GREAT knives. Very strong for the size. I am not sure, but the 707 may come in aluminum, and G10. I know the 705 comes with G10 B/C I have one on me today.

Best of luck,
John

I have also carried a mini until it was near death. It was a fantastic little knife. I bought several of the large axis versions that are just tucked away in the safe. Not the same. Although I love the lg version, there was something about the mini that was sooo nice.
