Suggest small sharpener

I know we've had various sharpening threads in the past. For the past few years, I've only use my Sharpmaker and the chakma on my kukuris. In my coming deployment, I don't plan on taking my kuks, and I'm not yet sure how much space will be at a premium.

Could I get some suggestions on small (diamond?) sharpeners to take with me, to use on folders and small fixed blades?

For the past five years or so I have had one of Ragnar's 2-sided plates in my wallet and sherpened a whole lot of stuff with it. It does a good job and is showing no sign of wearing out.

Ragnar's and a piece of old leather belt with compound rubbed in on one side, plain on the other.

99% of field sharpening can be well taken care of.

I like The little EZ-LAP pen like sharpener. It is a 2 1/14" diamond coated rod in a plastic handle that is only 4" when closed. It's D shaped with a fish hook groove.

That style is pretty good. I have one in a brass handle that unscrews and then the rod can store inside.

I've got one of those as well. I have yet to meet anyone that has sharpened a fish hook though. Oh well, it's tough to find a diamond rod without the "hook" gimmick.

Well, those look like two good formats. I had a keychain diamond sharpener with a snap-on cover, years ago, but I think I like these better.
