Hey guys,

I'm looking for a specific kind of knife. See criteria below.

- 3-3.5 inch blade, 154cm or better (edge retention)
- g10
- right hand tip up carry
- really solid lock. As in, no play at all.
- under $125

I'm normally a benchmade man, but I'm more than willing to branch out. Let me know what you guys think!

BM Griptillian comes to mind, seems to fit your criteria(except the G10). But being a BM man, you prolly already have one of those so...

Spyderco Endura 4 (VG-10, I have one and love it but the blade might be a little long)
Kershaw Lahar (VG 10 blade and holds an edge well, excellent lock up)
BM Mini Dejavooo (S30V and nice lock up for a liner lock, no tip up carry though)

just a couple I had sitting by the comp so they came to mind quickly, hope this helps.

Spyderco Caly 3. Just got one, and it's agreat knife. Fits all criteria I believe.

I got a Beretta Harsey Tactical for around $112 shipped - CPM S30V, G-10 scales, titanium liners and clip, good liner-lock, and beautiful too. It carries tip-up and flips nicely.

Every since I got it, I've wanted to buy a few more... it's a really great folder.

Here are links to the shop and the few pics I took of the Beretta:

I agree with the recommendation about the Beretta BHT.

If you want a great deal, pick up the larger model ( in Fighter's link). I have knives made by all the major makers and the BHT is one of the best of the crop ( even if I had paid full price)

The Titanium liner is thick enough to qualify as a framelock.

The other knife in the picture is an Emerson Mini Commander.

Zero Tolerance MUDD has a 3 5/8th blade and locks up like a tank. 154CM. Tip up, G10 scales.

Got mine for $114 on the bay.

Ha, thanks for that.. I'm a big fan of Benchmade so I don't really mind if I don't branch out.

The Lone Wolf T1 looks really nice, to most people have good experiences with these?

Heavily considering both the Caly 3 and the Lone Wolf T1.

Can anyone tell me anything about the Caly 3's lock up? I own a couple Delicas and they all have a little vertical play (which I've learned is considered normal by Spyderco's lockback production standards). Does the Caly 3 have the same sort of vertical play, or is that play not as prevalent in higher-end Spydercos?

Also, I don't know much about Lone Wolf knives. How's the lock up? Can anyone tell me any more about their experience with the T1?

Thanks!
