Suggestion - link to last page

I would like to suggest an option to go to the last page in the selected thread that is displayed on the BF homepage. It is a minor inconvenience for most (reason enough to change?), but for us with the slower connections it can take a while to load the first page to link to the page with the most recent posts. :)

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Do you have Bladeforums bookmarked as http://www.bladeforums.com ? Change that to http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/usercp.php and you will come up on your User Control Panel which loads pretty quickly, will list your subscribed threads, and has a title bar with New Posts available. Click on the down-arrow at the front of the thread title you want, and it will take you to the first unread post in that thread.
 
Go to www.bladeforums.com and you'll see what he's talking about, Esav. It's a forumless view, threads from all forums listed as if this place were all one enormous forum. I can't imagine how anyone can use that view here -- aren't there too many posts to keep up with them all??? -- but some people try to....

For some reason that page only shows threads, with no link to the oldest unread post or to individual pages of multipage threads.
 
I suppose it's good for those times when the wine has taken over and a random access view of reality coresponds to the lassitude within. :)
 
I agree. That page changes form by the minute.

As an aside, I use the User CP also. Because of the sheer number of posts made overall, hitting the 'new posts' link is more of the same like above. And so I don't. I like the feature, but in this place it's overwhelming.

My sidetrack but relevant question: Can the 'new posts' be searched via ONLY the subscribed forums in User CP? My, wouldn't that be nice. :thumbup:

How do I subscribe to threads???

I tried to figure it out, maybe I am missing something that is really obvious?
