Hey guys...my first spydie MXL ball lock was a bad move, very disappointed. Members here suggest me to get a compression lock. I am still a BM Axis lock fanatic! Just exploring others & trying to give Spyderco another go at it...

Any model in particular with compression lock?

the PM2 is THE knife to get for just the compression lock. One thing about the PM2 is that it is either a love it, or "Hate it at first, but after using it for about a week, finally come to love it." knife. When I first got my PM2 I hated the feeling. I decided that because I'm not made of money I would use it for a while to see. Give it a fair shot, so to speak. After using it as my main edc for about a week, I realized I FREAKIN LOVE THAT KNIFE. One day I will have the blue one. But alas...I am broke...Ohh well.

Well put. At first, the looks of the PM2 was rather plain but it grew on me. Also it does come in various colors [and steels] and aftermarket scales or "pimping" are relatively available.

It is probably the best compression lock from what I hear. I am sure you will love it.

Other knives with a compression lock are the Superleaf, Junior, Yojimbo2 to name a few although it does not feel as good as the PM2 [from what I understand from other users and reviews.]

I like the Para-Military 2 immensely. I even bought the XHP in orange just for the handle scales (although the steel's no slouch, either). It's fun to open and close and will feel similar to the AXIS lock in how quickly it can be engaged and disengaged (similar, but definitely not identical) -- I'd give a slight nod to the AXIS for higher accuracy in flipping the blade in and out completely without "bounce back". Both the blade and handle are very light and the whole design feels... open and airy. The tip is seriously thin compared to my other knives of similar blade stock, which promotes an almost surgical precision at its point, especially considering its size. However, If you don't care for the Spyderco round opening hole on other models, you'll very likely despise the PM2's as it is larger than you'll find on a lot of other models in its size.
