Suggestion on Bowie Knife

I want to add a Bowie type knife to my collection.
I should not cost more than $150, perhaps max $200.
What would you recommend?

Damn man, your just a day too late. Danbo justed posted a Camillus/Fisk OVB bowie in the for sale forum that was a steal. This is pretty much the current cream of the crop for sub $200 bowies IMO. It might be worth a try to post in the Wanted forum and try to find one. Might get lucky and pick one up on your budget.

Throw us a little more info on exactly what you are looking for (handle material, blade length, use, etc.) and you should get lots of choices.

The handle material should preferrably be wood, and the knife should have brass cross-guards. 6-8 inch blade will do. I'm interested to have it as home defense.

It's a bit on the large side, but how about the Western W-49? A great knife.

Forgot to add that if you want to keep the cost and blade length a little more manageable the same could be done with the 7" Recon Scout.
