Ok guys, I would like to buy a nice fixed blade for EDC. I have some criteria.

$200 dollars is my limit. Obviously under that isn't a problem.
Steels I would like are: 154cm, S30v, CPM154, S35VN. No 1095. I am not opposed to non stainless though.
Blade around 3-4"
Nothing seriously up swept or with major belly. I love Wharncliffes.
I have been looking at Tom Krein's blades. I have one of his down the pipeline. Really like the looks of his TK-1. So blades in that size or style are cool.
Sheath is not a biggy, if I don't like it I will have one made.

Thanks guys

Have Alan Davis fix you one. You can choose the steel, handle type, blade shape, and everything else!! He has AWESOME PRICES TOO! Good Luck! Kevin :D

+1.....

Just got a small fixed for EDC from Alan and although I haven't gotten it in yet, I know that I WILL be dealing with him again. Great guy, uses great materials with a wide variety of styles and definitely has awesome prices as well. Btw, he also makes his own sheaths. :D

A pic of Alan's work, picked this one up mainly to try out the 52100 steel....

Bark River makes a few that you might like. The Little Carver especially sounds like just what you're looking for, though it has a blade just a bit under 3".

ETA: Also check out the Blind Horse Bird & Trout Classic, Frontier Valley Patch, Long Trail, and Maverick Colt. Sorry I can't post links; they're not listed on Blind Horse's web site, and I can't link to dealers because of forum rules.

Bark River is the first production name that comes to mind but there are a lot of custom makers here that would produce something exactly like what you want in this price range.

Yah, I have gone the custom route before. I am messing around with a design. That may be what I do. Singularity I had seriously considered the Les George before.
