I was given a stryker mini as my friend did not know how to clean the scales. It has a really aggressive tecture on ths g10 scales. Anyone know how to clean ig? Just send it in to benchmade, maybe?

Uh... sending a knife to the manufacturer to get CLEANED? To each his own but... I would try first with very how water, dish shoap and a stiff nylon brush. That should get rid of most of the gunk. Next step, but you may damage the texture a little bit, so be extremely gentle, would be to use the softest brass bristhle brush.

You could use some kind of solvent (acetone, for example) to see if that cleans it better. But try a drop or two first on where it wouldn't be seen if it reacts with the G10 (which I doubt).

I wouldn't use any chemical based cleaner. Simple soap and hot water should do nicely. Got any pics of the knife? Would like to see what it looks like.
