Suggestions needed for 3" knife

I'm looking around for a baby brother for my ZT 0550, one with a 2.8 to 3" blade, but similar toughness, mainly for tougher tasks in the garden, where I do a lot of building, redesigning, etc. Something with a beefy 4 mm or possibly 5 mm blade and hard-duty features, with any locking system except a backlock, and not to exceed $200. I've looked at other ZT products, but the issue I have with some of them is that I abhor assisted opening systems of any type & don't want their various flipper-type knives, only knives that are thumb-to-blade and w/o springs to open and close.. Any suggestions welcome. (I have a small seb but no way that goes out to cut limbs off trees and so forth).
tnx

Why send a folder to do a fixed blade's work?

I agree. No reason to fumble around with a lock and have moving parts when you're working in the garden (dirt, moisture, etc). And why are you limited to 3" for the blade? I find it helpful to have a longer blade for a general purpose knife.

How about a Ka-Bar Dozier Phat Bob or Ontario RAT 1 (3.5" Blade though)?

Edit: I also agree. If this is intended for yard work etc.. A fixed would probably be a better idea.

I bought a Emerson Micro-Commander BT this morning for well under your price; 3" blade, as a gift for a 20-yr-old grandson. I know he'll enjoy the "tactical" appearance. It is a new model on Ernie Emerson's PRESTIGE series.
I've had an Emerson CQC-7v before, the first model of that series, and I know that his knives are very tough. Ernie goes back with the Seals and military for many years. Later licensed his design to BenchMade for a few years. Excellent duty knife.

Greyman dua, which you can get used for around 200. Super tough and 3 in blade

was just going to suggest this...beefiest 3" folder around

The guys who suggest the BM 755 MPR are correct. With the very thick M390 blade, this thing is a horse. And besides, nobody seems to like them, and I've seen them sell on the Exchange for $130 or so, ANIB.
So Yeah, it's a great knife for plunking in the garden or for killing mastodons or something, but I NEVER carry mine. It's the fattest knife I've ever had, mine measures 0.640" IIRC, and because it's also very short, it's like carrying a rock. So the farthest I would ever carry mine is to the garden and back.
My son bought it for me; (I told him I thought it might be a fine knife) and of course I'll never sell it. But neither will I carry it. And I do like BenchMade.

OP here. Tnx for all the opinions and insights. I'm looking into the BM 755 and also the Greyman Dua. The 755 looks like it might fit the bill, and my experiences with BM are positive. Responding to the comments above -- yeah, a fixed blade probably makes more sense for my applications, but I just don't like 'em. I find it more convenient to toss a folder into the pocket. The ZT0550 which I'v already got meets my needs well, but it's limited due to legal issues in terms of taking it places beyond the garden; that's the main reason I want something like it with a 3" blade. I think the 755 might do the trick.
