Suggestions on safe product to clean and preserve knives?

Hi:

What's a good all around product to wipe fingerprints and such off of our custom knives?

I'm looking for something safe on scrimshaw and various handle materials.

A long time ago I'd use WD40. Now the Tuf cloth is available- is this any good?

Tuff cloth is the way to go. Then when you are done you can finish off with a chamois.
