suggestions on smoothing out Carnivour?

Does anyone have any suggestions? I have lubed the crap out of it, I have taken it apart and polished the back of the blade where it engages the lock. I jave cycled it about 1000 times. I love this knife but it is difficult to open.

Sounds like an abberation. I had a Pioneer that never really got what you would call smooth, it always felt rough, but it was never difficult to open.

Maybe you got a tang that was more cammed than usual, or an unusually strong spring.

Thanks Steve, I shortened the spring by about 20%. That made a huge difference. It opens very smoothly now and still locks up tight. Word of caution: Be careful taking it apart. The spring wants to escape.
