Hi. I have been reading here for a long time. Now its time to buy something.

Im using knifeworks just beacuse I found alot of the things I wanted there.

I currently have in my shopping cart:

-Spyderco Delica ( These are supposed to be the best "cheap" folders one can get)
-Fallkniven F1 ( Great survival / outdors knife for the money, one of the best)
-Swiss Army Farmer ( I want something to carry around without getting stopped by the police, and has the things I want)
-Forschner Chef knife ( best kithcen knife for the money, and a great buy)

Now, what else I need:

A sharpner, on knifeworks site. You guys knows whats best! I have no clue. Could you find something I could use on all of these? Or more if I need it.

Perhaps a some other folder or knife. Trying to keep a budget since Im only a student. Im up $188 now, but shipping will probably add alot. Living in Europe and all.

You made some excellent choices. Sounds like you have really done your homework. (sorry about the pun, couldn't resist, but you really did read up and choose well.)

For someone new to sharpening I'd recommend a Spyderco Sharpmaker for all but the F1.
IIRC the F1 has a convex grind. Look on the Maintenance forum. I think the recommended sharpening method for convex grinds is fine sandpaper over a mousepad.

With the F1, you may want to consider a leather strop with some stropping compound.

I thought the F1 has a micro bevel, and it was ok to sharpmaker it??? Could be totally wrong ;)

Sharpening only the microbevel will thick the edge and decrease the cutting ability. A convex grind has to be sharpened from the spine to the very edge. Knarfeng said it, you can use sandpaper over a mousepad but you can use a classic stone as well.

dantzk.
