I have a Cold Steel Vaquero, a Benchmade Skirmish, and one large, wood handled knife (from Brazil, which I Use all the time bushwhacking in the backyard). Would like to add a Rukus and one more, I think it is made by Ontario, but cannot remember the name. Can someone help me out?:)

some of the bigger folders i really like...

spyderco chinook
spyderco military
cold steel voyager bowie, 4 inch
benchmade 710
crkt hissatsu
crkt m21 aluminum handle aus8 blade
sog vulcan

The Ontario knife I believe you are thinking of is the Retribution. There are two sizes - Retribution 1 is the larger and it is a beast.

Large folder? benchmade LFK (large F*cking knife)

Lone Wolf makes a few large sized folders

If you have money there are still Camillus 5.5 inch cuda Maxx available ( Ti framelock, D2 bowie blade)

The large Rukus is a very nice knife also, in S30V

Out of all my favorites are the large Skirmish, and the Cuda Maxx. Both Ti framelocks, both well made and both large,

The Retribution is a very nice knife also, and huge, but I still prefer the two above. Joe

SOG Spec Elite II

Arc-lock rawks, and its a small package with incredible "big knife" feel.

Nothing like flipping open a 5in blade at mach 10 and having peoples eyes get

Start carrying the bowie on your belt. Your family loves you and will understand your decision. In three hundred years. The Retribution would be the ticket if you love a beefy recurved blade in N690Co steel with contoured micarta grips and a liner lock that's thicker than most framelocks. Plus, that handle-shape, blade style, and materials carry over into Hossom's Spyderco fixed blades for when you're more confident wearing increasingly larger fixed blades near family.

Retribution is up there with Strider and Greco folders as close to indestructible short of high explosives. Best ergonomics around -- IF you've got BIG hands.

As thombrogan indicated, the Hossom Ontario Retributions are made by the same Italian manufacturer that does the Hossom fixed blades for Spyderco. Same green/black Micarta handles. Real manufacturing quality.

The Retributions come with a HEAVY-duty belt pouch and no pocket clip.

Another manufacturer that will provide you with a truly heavy-duty mega-folder is Extrema Ratio. My Nemesis is as tough as anything on the market.

Thanks artribution this weekendtll-am ordering a Retribution this weekend. Thanks to everyone who responded. A great group of guys (and gals)!

If you want a large folder look at the CS Espada. A fella did a very nice review of it where there is a link in the thread I started on the forum here. I have owned the Retribution and very well made but even on the large the handle was just fat and the pinky rest at the back was to sharp of a curve for me. keepem sharp

Glad to hear you remembered the knife. Glad that you got the feedback you were looking for on size, fit, and finish.

I will only add that N690, the alloy of which the Retribution blade is made, is one of my favorite alloys. Great edge retension and takes a really fine edge. Wish it were used more often.

And I also wish folks would read the frickn thread before mindlessly responding with the name of their favorite knife.

It's the Ontarior Hossom Retribution as already mentioned. The Rukus is probably the better "user", but the Retribution is a monster, especially in girth; you'll need a belt pouch to carry.

I need an updated comparision picture now that I stumbled across the Cold Steel Rajah:
