So I was talking to Florian about how to make my cuffs and bracelets fit different sized wrists. Currently they are custom fit to the customer using a Sam Browne stud.

I'm thinking about maybe renting a kiosk before Christmas at the local mall.

I could use something like two or three male snap ends in a row, and one female on the other end, but that seems cheesy and bulky (and expensive).

Anyone have any ideas on how to make my strap bracelets and cuffs adjustable. Simplicity gets extra points because they already take a lot of time to make.

Thanks guys!

Is the cheese factor on velcro too high Ant? Cuz that's the ultimate adjustable solution, but perhaps it may cheapen the whole presentation a bit?

Only thing I can come up with is make some like mini Ranger belts. That would give you lots of room to play, say red shark with black shark billets.

That would work fine for children I think. I don't think it would work with the exotic skin though. Good idea! Didn't even occur to me. :)

Dude that would be pretty trick, but it would raise the labor quite a bit I think. Just cutting and sewing the billets would add significant work over the span of dozens of cuffs.

Florian suggested buckles too. He sent me some small studs a while back. They may work with a row of holes, only thing is that the holes would have to have very short tails to allow room.

Red shark?! I'd *love* to get my hands on red shark!

OK red ostrich with black shark billets. But you're gonna have to sell my knives in your kiosk too! I'm going in. Shop is now closed.

Cuffs were so popular back in the 60's and 70's, its actually pretty nifty to see them come back like this. :D

I've seen everything from lacing (either leather, cotton, or what have you) Snaps, buckles (rivet the straps, saves labor)

We were first considering the single stud with several fitting holes. Lacing and velcro are also a nice idea.
Another idea... How about using a sort of embellished buckle on the top for size and a normal clasp/stud for closing?

Oh, and inspired by that thread about leather and canvas, how about adding a heavy duty canvas strap to the leather, like those canvas wrist watch strap?

One Sam Browne stud with couple of holes for stud, and just one hole at the other end. Leave little longer end with holes for stud so it can go under the other part so you can shorten it (if you want, or not, cause it wont be visible) and just put on the spot stud as needed.

So far I like Macans idea best, cause the other way around the bracelet has this long flap hanging off.

So do I. Then Strig could make a little keeper next to the stud for the tag end to go into. The keeper could be reddish black sharkelephantostrich hide. Seriously, some ranger belts have interior keepers like that to stick the overlap in and keep everyting tidy. Might be onto something here.

Macan great idea!

I'm going to play with this idea. The customer may not be able to cut a curve or burnish/dye the end, but it'll be covered up anyway. Maybe I can offer to cut it at the point of sale.

Loving this idea. :)

what about roller buckles ?
