im looking for a production bowie with a full tang, stag handle and a blade longer than 6 inches. I will be using it mainly as a woods knife and as a just in case knife for when i am offroading. any suggestions are appreciated. budget is 100$

You should consider the Becker BK7 or BK9, depending on your length preference.
Plenty of other choices out there too, and I'm sure you'll get many recommendations.

i would also prefer a stag handle and a carbon steel blade. thx for yall's suggestions

I think you're going to have a hard time finding stag at that price range. Inexpensive knives imported with stag handles are going to trend towards stainless. So you may have to compromise.

Boker may have something in the Arbolito line (made in Argentina) that interests you. Not sure, but I think they're all stainless though.
Muela from Spain is also in your price range. Stainless.

Some of the Chinese import brands offer stag bowies as well. Never seen one in carbon steel though. Hen and Rooster, Marbles, etc.

i would be willing to compromise for a handle other than stag and a carbon steel blade

What did you think of the Becker knives I mentioned? Some folks mod them by removing the black coating and replacing the plastic handles with wood.

i dont really care much for the look of KA-BAR's becker line of knives. im looking for a more traditional style. different strokes for different folks lol

I understand. It's just that the traditional styled Bowie knives are mostly all stainless and/or more than your price limit. By contrast, many of the modern survival-type Bowie knives use carbon steel and are $100 or less.

How about the Hudson Bay from Condor Knives. Wood handles, carbon steel, and only $35.
Anza too. They use file steel "high carbon tool steel" to make most of their knives, and have a small selection of knives in 1095 carbon steel. No idea what their prices are like nowadays, but they offer elk antler as a handle option. They'll also custom make a knife to your specs using whatever materials they have access to.

Sorry, don't have a lot more ideas. :(
