I am a huge Benchmade fan and am thinking of geting a new one. I am only thinking of a Benchmade and not other brands. I do own others I just believe Benchmades are the best.

Anyways I am open to any Axis lock suggestions. I do not NEED another one so there is no percieved hole to fill. Please help me choose one. This is what I have so far in the order I purchased them:

-720 Pardue the first, and still my overall favorite although now in retirement.
-Mini Grip never used any more.
-942 Osborne my favorite EDC.
-610 Rukus to big for most EDC stuff but my outdoor/I may really need a knife knife.
-710 D2 McHENRY & WILLIAMS My current EDC. I have been carrying it since I picked it up a week ago. So far it is pretty nice. I think I like their metal handles better than the ones on these.

I use all my knives and I have no intrest in collecting for the sake of collecting. So other than that I am open to any suggestions. Thanks for any who would like to play. :D

If you like the metal handles, the 520,523,525 Presidios would be a nice addition to your collection. Of course if the 720 is your all time favorite, you could compliment that nicely with the 722, which is also dicontinued, but you can still find them if you check around.

you have enough axis locks, you need to get a balisong to apprecaite the true greatness of Benchmade.

Yes. And get the older T-latch style. Much nicer than the spring latch and beveled holes, in my opinion (classic).
Then you can round it out with a 43, 47, and perhaps a 46 spearpoint. :D

Neither are on your list but I like the HK 14200 or the HK 14210. Both are really top quality knives by BM.

I'll throw out one not on the list simply because I got a chance yesterday to handle and play with it. The knife is the 426 Snody Tactical. I know, liner lock. But this liner lock goes around .080" thick and the lockup was excellent. There was no blade drift either laterally or vertically, and it passed the spine-whack I did, only one time since it was not my knife, but my cousin wanted to know if it would take it and it did. The thing I liked was the stiffness of the liner lock bar when you push it over to unlock the blade. You will not have to worry about it ever falling out of place. The blade is listed at .146" thick but that is only on the flats back near the pivot area. The blade looks to be thin enough to be a great slicer, but thick enough to withstand a daily workout. Just had to throw it in as an option!

I EDC my Ares a lot. If you like the 940/942 series, you might want to check a 921. The 921 is a very comfy EDC folder when you are looking for something not too heavy. Hmmm... that sounds like a beer commercial.
