Summer 2018 in France and Spain

Here's some pics from our summer vacation in the South of France and the North West part of Spain.
We had a wonderful time, great people, wonderful campsites and stunning nature.
Hope my picture can give a glimpse og hwat it's like there.

Kayaking over the Loire, many castles in the area.

Dune du Pilat, highest sand dune in Europe (app. 100 meters high)

Spain, town called...I forgot... met super friendly basque people there

Most campsites had public BBQ's for everyone to use

A native went straight down the mountain, but stopped to look at us. The dog went crazy

I can get used to having lunch here.

wonderful, great pics, looks amazing,

I just came back from (last week) from 2 weeks in France.
My g/f (who is French and lives north of Paris) and I drove down south to Vendres and met Stephane Espi, then down to Villelongues del Monts, Argelès-sur-Mer and Collioure and we swam in the Mediterranean. Then we went back upto Thiers on our way back to her home. It's great countryside living, that's for sure.

Nice pictures! I always go to Asturias in summer, very near to Potes. Picos de Europa is a stunning area to enjoy the mountains.

That looks really gorgeous! I hope to return to Europe someday when I can spend some time like this in more rural and small-town parts of Italy and France, and then spend some holiday Summertime in Spain and Portugal.

I've been fortunate to spend some time like this in Germany and the Netherlands and a brief period in Belgium many years ago. I even did London once as a teenager (pre-EU) and would love to see more of Britain and some of Ireland while I'm still young and healthy enough to hike and camp more austere areas off the beaten' path.
