About time. i'm ready for sun. 85 and sunny yesterday, had the day off work. so fishing time (north idaho, i live in eastern WA).
great day, lots o' fish. no pics, b/c they were all little guys, only a couple in the 15-16in range. but about 1 billion dinks caught. great day to be on a river. snapped a quick shot of my sidekick. like a dummy, i showed the sucky backside where my hex cutouts look terrible. i do love this knife. currently my FPR16 (now with liners!) is getting some sheath work done by godspeed. i'll be torn which one to throw in the pack once that gets back. good problem to have :)

i have passed this bar dozens of times on the way home. while i highly approve of any saloon named 'The Golden Beaver', i have yet to stop in for a beer. never any vehicles out front, and it has the same kind of disturbing ambience as when the fiddle music plays in 'Deliverance'. just not brave enough. maybe if i was packing the 9 or a Reinhardt Kukri (need one, bad) instead of the 16.....

Don't be afraid of the beaver, it can tell when you are. I'd stop in during the day to give it a try, could become your next new favorite watering hole!

Love that part of the country. Except for the bears. RBK in the bar? Well that's one fun way to have the place to yourself.

Stayed a little overcast all day here in SW Wa.

btw...it probably is a good idea to pack a 9 when sneaking into the Golden Beaver! lol

too true.

you don't want to try and get into the Golden Beaver when all you can whip out is a Shortie. A 9 is definitely going to serve you better there. :) :) :)
